The Chittenden Emergency Food Shelf operates the county’s foremost soup kitchen. We are open to the entire community, serving a hot meal every day, Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 10:30am, Sunday morning from 10:00am to Noon and Sunday evening from 4:30pm to 7:00pm.
For over 20 years, our Sunday evening meal has been made possible through a partnership with the University of Vermont Food Salvage Program. Our Sunday morning meal is offered through a partnership with the University of Vermont’s Campus Kitchen project. Students rescue food through the UVM dining system and prepare the meal on-site in the CEFS kitchen.
