Senator Bernie Sanders Holds Press Conference at Food Shelf

On October 9, Senator Bernie Sanders held a press conference with our Vermont Foodbank partners at the Chittenden Emergency Food Shelf to announce dramatic cuts in The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP).  According to the Vermont Foodbank the program has shrunk by 50 percent in the past year.  TEFAP traditionally supplies a significant percentage of emergency food to providers such as the Chittenden Emergency Food Shelf.
