Vermont city food shelf seeks turkey donations

BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) — Vermonters are being asked to donate turkeys and Thanksgiving fixings to families in need. The Chittenden Emergency Food Shelf in Burlington is looking for help to provide turkeys to over 2,700 needy families.
The Food Shelf will also take donations of canned goods and other Thanksgiving dishes.
Donations can be made Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Nov. 24 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the food shelf at 228 North Winooski Avenue.
