Big delivery to Food Shelf

Burlington, Vermont – November 5, 2010

A big boost for the food shelf in Burlington Friday.

Employees of the IBM plant in Essex Junction completed their annual food drive and this morning they delivered 116 boxes of food to the Chittenden Emergency Food Shelf on a Greyhound bus. A dozen IBM employees helped unload the food, which was collected from company employees over the last two months.

The donation comes at a time when food shelf officials say they are seeing dozens of new clients needing help feeding their families.
