Chittenden County Food Shelf Receives Giant Check

The Chittenden County Emergency food shelf will be able to feed more families than originally planned.

The food shelf was presented with a check for $732. The money was raised by the Lake Champlain Regional Chamber of Commerce, by selling raffles at its “business after hours” events.

“We’ve also done quite a bit of food drives at our business after hours and everyone has come can in hand and their wallets opened up so its been really great,” Jen Burnell, of the Lake Champlain Regional Chamber of Commerce, said.

The Chittenden County Emergency Food Shelf says this money will feed about 45 families for the next month.
